Having settled for a 2-2 draw in the first leg played at the Emirates, both teams needed a win of whichever scoreline when they faced off at the Allianz Arena to progress to the next round.

Bayern ultimately emerged on top, with Joshua Kimmich's second-half goal the only difference in the second-leg clash.

Neuer equally made a significant contribution in the tie, pulling off some incredible saves to shut out Arsenal's incredible frontline.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the German's clean sheet in the tie saw him make Champions League history as he became the goalkeeper with the most shutouts in the history of the tournament.
