Ronaldo's Champions League hat-trick vs. Bayern
Real Madrid headed into their second-leg clash against Bayern Munich in the 2016-17 UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with momentum on their side.
The Spanish giants recorded a 2-1 win over Bayern in the first leg at Allianz Arena, with Ronaldo inspiring the come-from-behind victory.
Arturo Vidal opened the scoring for Bayern with a strike in the 25th minute. They weren't able to hold on to that advantage, with Ronaldo scoring a brace in the second half to give Real two vital away goals.
That didn't faze Bayern, who launched a furious fightback in the return leg at the Bernabeu. Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring with a penalty in the 53rd minute.
Ronaldo responded with a close-range strike in the 76th minute, scoring a header from a Casemiro assist. Real's joy was short-lived, though, as Sergio Ramos scored an own goal a couple of minutes later to send the match into extra time.

FootballThose added minutes, however, helped Ronaldo create more history. He scored his second goal of the night in the 105th minute, brilliantly bringing down Sergio Ramos' pass before firing the go-ahead strike.
The goal proved to be controversial, though, as Ronaldo looked to be offside before scoring, per Bleacher Report.
He completed his hat-trick in the 110th minute, scoring off an assist from Marcelo, who made a brilliant solo run.
That goal was also questioned by some, with the Portuguese star appearing to be offside again when Marcelo made the pass.
Ronaldo made history with that treble, becoming the first player to score 100 goals in the Champions League.
