Palmer and Jackson 'fight' over penalty

A video circulating on social media, spotted by Sports Brief, captured a moment involving Palmer, Chelsea's designated first penalty taker, as he prepared to fulfil his duties.

However, a discussion ensued among teammates Noni Madueke and Conor Gallagher, during which Jackson intervened and attempted to claim the ball from Palmer.

Determined to take the penalty, the Senegalese international sought to wrestle possession from Palmer, resulting in a brief physical altercation between them.

Thankfully, Gallagher succeeded in persuading Jackson to relinquish his claim, albeit with some reluctance, allowing Cole to confidently convert the penalty kick, as noted by talkSPORT.

Before the incident occurred, the duo displayed excellent chemistry, culminating in the first goal. The former Manchester City player skillfully finished with a beautiful curling shot just outside the box.

Following this, the pair continued to showcase their devastating partnership.

The 21-year-old capitalised on Jackson's initial effort, slotting the ball home. Cole then completed his hat-trick before the half-hour mark, with his partner-in-crime adding another goal just before halftime.

Alfie Gilchrist sealed the deal with a goal after 'Cold Palmer' made history by becoming the first player to score four goals in a Premier League game since Frank Lampard in 2010, per Squawka.

Fans shower praise on Cole Palmer

Cole Palmer reaffirmed his status as Chelsea's standout player this season, showcasing his brilliance with a remarkable first-half hat-trick and adding a fourth after halftime, securing his place in history.

As reported by Sports Brief, accolades have flooded in for Palmer following his outstanding performance.

One fan, @MrGeorgeBenson, expressed admiration for the Man City Academy graduate, calling him "utterly outrageous" and praising his exceptional goal.
