Nigeria forward, Victor Boniface, has made history after helping Bayer Leverkusen win their first-ever Bundesliga title in his first season in the German league.
The 23-year-old was on target for the second game running as Leverkusen defeated Werder Bremen to clinch the title with five games remaining.
Boniface opened the scoring from the spot after 25 minutes to give the host the lead before a strike from Granit Xhaka and a hat-trick from Florian Wirtz ensured Leverkusen are champions of Germany.
The Super Eagles star has been a sensation for the German outfit since joining the club last summer from Belgium side Union Saint Gilloise.

Boniface has scored 17 goals and provided nine assists across all competitions for Leverkusen this season, per Transfermarkt.
The Nigerian is also on the verge of a historic treble with the club after reaching the final of the DFB Pokal and already a leg in the semi-final of the Europa League. He scored in the 2-0 first-leg win over West Ham United in the quarter-final, as reported by Soccernet NG.
Despite his successes with the club this season, Boniface spent three months on the sidelines, battling an injury that kept him out of the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, where Nigeria placed second.
