  • Chelsea drew 2-2 against relegation-threatened Sheffield United
  • The Blues conceded an added-time equaliser against the Blades
  • Cole Palmer was frustrated at two of his teammates in the tunnel

Cole Palmer having a not-so-good game and cutting a frustrated figure tells you everything you need to know about the situation in Chelsea's dressing room.

They conceded an added-time goal to draw 2-2 with relegation-threatened Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, a theme which has become common in their season.

The two goals conceded means the Blues have not kept a clean sheet at an away ground since October 2 in their 2-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

They have also conceded two goals in their last seven consecutive games, exemplifying the defensive crisis in Mauricio Pochettino's team since the turn of the new year.

Palmer furious with Chelsea teammates

Palmer lasted 74 minutes in the draw and assisted Noni Madueke for the winner. It was not the only area he influenced before he left the pitch.

Per Football London, the winger who was deployed centrally cut a frustrated figure at defender Axel Disasi, another player who was played out of position.

The former Manchester City was displeased with the French defender not overlapping right-winger Madueke, making him go all alone attacking the right-hand side.

The former Monaco man can't be faulted for his inability to overlap, he played a makeshift role after compatriot Malo Gusto was rested due to fitness concerns.

Some fans have seen the Palmer incident as a show of leadership and caring about the team, and he is willing to prove it on the pitch.

Per Evening Standard, the team went from having a cheerful dressing room after their late winner against Manchester United to having a near graveyard after the game with Sheffield.

Pochettino hit out at the team publicly, claiming they lack the maturity to compete at the level needed at the club, a statement which questions the team's recruitment policy.

Cole Palmer blasts Chelsea teammates

Sports Brief previously reported on Palmer hitting out at Chelsea teammates after they struggled for a 2-2 draw against 10-man Burnley at Stamford Bridge.

The 21-year-old scored two goals, but defensive lapses ensured the 19th-placed side Burnley came into the game each time. The incident repeated itself against another relegation side.
