Ghana forward, Inaki Williams, broke down in tears as he celebrated with his younger brother, Nico, following Athletic Bilbao's Copa del Rey triumph.

Los Rojiblancos defeated Real Mallorca on penalties to win the Spanish Cup for the first time in 40 years.

The Williams brothers played an influential role in that success, with Nico providing an important assist in the final and earning the Player of the Tournament prize.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Inaki was brought to tears as he hugged his brother while celebrating their monumental feat with the club.

Users on X (formerly Twitter) commented on the sheer emotion of the moment.

Inaki scored and provided an assist against Barcelona in the quarter-final, less than 24 hours after Ghana exited the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, before playing a key role in the semi-final against Atletico Madrid.

The star of the tournament was Nico, who was eventually named the tournament's best player.

The brothers are also leading Athletic Bilbao's quest for a UEFA Champions League spot with incredible performances in La Liga this season.

Meanwhile, in a pulsating encounter at La Cartuja Stadium, Mallorca opened the scoring through Dani Rodriguez before Oihan Sancet equalised in the second half to force the game to penalties.

Alex Berenguer netted the winner during the shootout as Athletic Bilbao ended their Copa del Rey drought, as reported by MSN.

Athletic Bilbao win Copa del Rey

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Athletic Bilbao won the Copa del Rey by beating Real Mallorca 4-2 on penalties on Saturday after a 1-1 draw after extra time.

The Basque side lifted the trophy for the 24th time, behind only 31-time winners, Barcelona, as they defeated the underdogs at La Cartuja Stadium in Seville.

Dani Rodriguez sent Mallorca ahead in the first half, but Oihan Sancet levelled for Bilbao soon after the break and the sides could only be separated by penalties.

Williams brothers enjoy Ghanaian meal

Sports Brief also previously reported that Inaki and Nico Williams dined on 'fufu', the popular Ghanaian delicacy.

The brothers made history at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, competing for two different countries at the tournament.

The Williams brothers have come to symbolise strong family values as African players plying their trades in Spain.
