Many took to X to express their frustrations on the goalkeeper who joined the Red Devils from Italian club Inter Milan.
He joined Manchester United last summer on a contract running until June 2028, with the option of a further year, the club said in a statement.
Having conceded against Gallagher, many have claimed that the 28-year-old should have done better. One said:
"I can think of 20 goalkeepers in the MLS that could've stopped Gallagher's shot."
Another added:
"Conor Gallagher makes some excellent runs into the box and shouldn't have been unmarked, but Andre Onana should save that."

"Manchester United need to axe Onana before he leads them to relegation. What's that gift to Chelsea and Connor Gallagher."
