  • Video of Erling Haaland's warm-up stirs fans to align with Roy Keane's viewpoint
  • Keane said that the striker's display vs Arsenal resembled that of a League Two player
  • Haaland has gone five games without scoring a goal for both club and country

Fans have flooded social media to endorse Roy Keane's evaluation that Erling Haaland's performance mirrors that of League Two standards, prompted by footage of the striker during a warm-up session at Manchester City.

Haaland faced criticism following his abysmal performance in the goalless draw with Arsenal over the weekend.

This extended the Norwegian's goal drought to five matches across both club and country, leading Keane to analyse his overall performance further.

The ex-Manchester United captain praised Haaland as the best player in the world in terms of goal-scoring ability, yet emphasised the need for improvement in his overall play, likening it to League Two standards.

Now, footie fans have rallied behind Keane's viewpoint after the emergence of a video showing the ex-Dortmund forward warming up.

In the footage, City players participate in a training drill, with Haaland notably struggling to demonstrate his strengths, evident in several misplaced passes.

How has Haaland fared this season?

Despite facing criticism for his performance against Arsenal, Haaland maintains his position as the top scorer in the Premier League.

With 18 goals this season, the 23-year-old leads Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins by two goals and has scored a total of 29 goals in all competitions for Manchester City.

Haaland will have the opportunity to increase this tally on Wednesday evening as City aim to maintain pressure on league leaders Liverpool when they host Villa at The Etihad Stadium.

Why Haaland's City won't win EPL

Sports Brief also provided an analysis of why Manchester City is unlikely to clinch the EPL title again this season following their goalless draw against Arsenal.

Despite winning the league crown for three consecutive seasons under Pep Guardiola's leadership, a fourth consecutive title seems improbable for Man City this term.

They face tough competition from clubs like Liverpool, who occupy the first position, and Arsenal.
