Stellenbosch FC defender, Deano Van Rooyen, has responded to rumours linking him with a potential move to Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
The right-back is enjoying a great season with the Stellies and his performances have reportedly caught the eyes of the two PSL giants.
The 27-year-old has produced impressive performances throughout the season, eliciting rumours that he could be ready to join the big boys.
Van Rooyen has been a regular on Steve Barker’s side, and they are having a terrific season. They clinched their first-ever trophy when they won the Carling Knockout Cup.

He has made 17 appearances in the DStv Premiership this season, helping his team to second in the table after 20 matches.
Speaking to iDiski Times, Van Rooyen made it crystal clear that he is happy at Stellenbosch.
“At the moment, I’m happy where I am,” he said. “But whatever comes maybe, I don’t know, after the season, we will see. But for now, I’m very happy here.”
Playing with his cousin, Ashley Du Preez, at Chiefs is an exciting idea he could explore at some point this year.
