Matches between Top 3 in 2023-24 season

1. Arsenal vs. Manchester City (1-0, October 2023)

The first meeting between the top 3 happened on October 8, 2023, when Arsenal hosted Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium.

Gabriel Martinelli gave the Gunners their first league win over the reigning champs since December 2015, scoring the game's lone goal in the 86th minute.

The Brazilian's strike deflected off Manchester City's Nathan Ake to give Arsenal the statement win. The result saw Arsenal leapfrog City into second place.

2. Manchester City vs. Liverpool (1-1, November 2023)

Erling Haaland made history in the game between Manchester City and Liverpool on November 25, 2023, becoming the fastest player to reach 50 Premier League goals with a strike in the 27th minute, per the BBC.

City weren't able to get maximum points from this contest, though, as Trent Alexander-Arnold grabbed a vital equaliser for Liverpool in the 80th minute.

His superb strike from the edge of the area went past Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson to earn the Reds a valuable point.

City wasted an opportunity to go top of the table, with Arsenal retaining first place after the draw.

3. Liverpool vs. Arsenal (1-1, December 2023)

The Gunners maintained their place at the top of the Premier League table after recording a 1-1 draw with Liverpool in a blockbuster showdown at Anfield on Christmas Eve.

Gabriel gave Arsenal a dream start with a headed goal in the fourth minute. Mohamed Salah equalised for the Reds in the 29th minute with a cool finish from Alexander-Arnold's pass.

Liverpool couldn't find the match-winner in the second half as Arsenal remained one point ahead of them in the league table.

4. Arsenal vs. Liverpool (3-1, February 2024)

Arsenal kept their Premier League title hopes alive with a 3-1 win over Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on February 5.

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard scored the goals for the Gunners, who trimmed the Reds' lead at the top of the Premier League table to two points, per Sky Sports.

5. Liverpool vs. Manchester City (1-1, March 2024)

Liverpool and Manchester City once again shared the points in their second meeting this season, with the two clubs playing out a 1-1 draw at Anfield on March 10.

City struck first in the crucial clash, with John Stones scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. Liverpool equalised in the 50th minute after Alexis Mac Allister converted a penalty.

The draw result meant that Arsenal headed into the international break with the Premier League lead.

6. Manchester City vs. Arsenal (0-0, March 2024)

The last meeting between the top 3 transpired on Sunday when Manchester City hosted Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

The showdown failed to live up to the hype, with City and Arsenal playing out a goalless draw. That result was celebrated in Merseyside as Liverpool returned to the top of the Premier League table.

Kudus makes history vs. Newcastle

Sports Brief recently reported on Mohammed Kudus making history in West Ham's game on Saturday.

He broke Andre Ayew's record in the Hammers' loss to Newcastle.

He became the Ghanaian with the most goals in West Ham's history after he found the back of the net in that contest.
