Despite his coaching achievements, the seasoned manager has unveiled his dream lineup for the Super Eagles.

Finidi names ideal Super Eagles XI

In an interview with Nigerian football expert, Modo Victor, Coach Finidi unveiled a lineup that symbolises an era of greatness in Nigerian football.

For the goalkeeper position, Finidi selected the legendary Peter Rufai, while opting for Augustine Eguavoen, as the right-back.

In central defence, he paired the towering figure of Stephen Keshi with the stalwart Uche Okechukwu. On the left side of the defence, Finidi chose Benedict Iroha.

Moving to midfield, Finidi positioned Bolton Wanderers' icon, Austin Okocha, and former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh, as the central midfield duo. He placed himself on the right wing, with ex-Barcelona star, Emmanuel Amuneke, on the left.

Up front, Finidi opted for the prolific Rashidi Yekini, alongside Everton icon, Daniel Amokachi.

Undoubtedly, Coach Finidi's lineup stands as a testament to Nigeria's footballing excellence, as the players selected were significant in the squad that donned the Super Eagles jersey during the 1990s and propelled the nation to the lofty heights of being ranked the fifth-best team in the world by FIFA.
