  • Lisandro Martinez wildly celebrated Amad Diallo's goal vs Liverpool
  • Diallo scored late to send Manchester United through to FA Cup semi-finals
  • Martinez, who has been out with a knee injury, was in the stand that day

New footage of Lisandro Martinez passionately celebrating Amad Diallo's winner over Liverpool has surfaced online almost two weeks since the memorable result.

Manchester United were able to get one past their rivals during a dramatic FA Cup quarter-final tie just before the international break at Old Trafford.

Manchester United vs Liverpool match report

The Red Devils quashed Liverpool's quadruple charge in what is Jurgen Klopp's final season in Merseyside. The game ended 4-3 in favour of the hosts, with Diallo netting the winner just as it appeared post-match penalty shoot-outs would decide the tie.

Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah cancelled out Scott McTominay's early opener before Antony came off the bench to equalise in the 88th minute. Harvey Elliott put Liverpool ahead in extra-time before Rashford drew United level again.

Diallo then completed a quick counterattack led by Alejandro Garanacho to send Erik ten Hag's side to the semi-finals.

A fan video shows how Martinez wildly celebrated the winner in the stands. The Argentine has been sidelined with a knee injury since February 4.

Here is the video of that incident

The Mirror reports that the former Ajax centre-back is expected to return this weekend when United play Brentford at the G-tech Stadium. He was bizarrely selected for international duty with the club allowing him to link up with the Argentina squad.

He, however, did not feature in any of the two games played by the World champions, where they beat El Salvador and Costa Rica.

Why do players get booked for taking off shirt?

Diallo was sent off shortly after the goal for a second bookable offence of removing his shirt during the celebrations.

The Ivorian winger had been booked earlier for delaying the restart of play.

Sports Brief has previously explained why players get booked for taking off their shirts.
