The Three Lions took on Belgium in a friendly at Wembley Stadium, and it was Bellingham’s conduct that caught the eye of many before the game even started.

What did Bellingham do?

Cameras caught the Real Madrid star as he ensured that the mascot was warm enough during the national anthems.

With the rain pouring down at Wembley, Bellingham was spotted taking off his jacket and wrapping it around the youngster, who was in a wheelchair.

Bellingham emulates New York Red Bulls

While Bellingham is making headlines for his gesture, he’s not the first player to do it recently. Major League Soccer side, the New York Red Bulls, also made headlines when their players performed a similar gesture.

The MLS side took on Inter Miami in a game affected by a heavy downpour, but Red Bulls players ensured the mascots were a bit warmer as they each took off their jackets to wrap the mascots up, Marca reported.

Bellingham’s touching gesture towards ball boy

Sports Brief reported how Bellingham also helped a ball boy keep warm recently.

The 20-year-old won the hearts of many when he gave his blanket to a youngster.

The Englishman was seated on the bench but got up to hand over a warm blanket.
