Barcelona legend, Dani Alves, is reportedly set to be released from prison, just one month after he was jailed.
Alves was handed a four-and-a-half-year prison sentence after he was found guilty of forcing himself on a woman at a Barcelona nightclub in 2022.
According to the Daily Star, the legendary defender was also ordered to pay a compensation fee to his accuser.
However, just weeks after the sentence, Alves is set to be released from prison, pending a final resolution in his appeal.

It is understood the Brazilian filed an appeal against his sentence, with his lawyer reportedly arguing his client had already served a quarter of his sentence in pre-trial detention.
Neymar's dad comes in aid of Alves
According to reports, Alves' release came after he posted bail of €1million.
Spanish outlet, La Vanguardia, claims that Neymar's dad, Neymar Santos Sr, helped the football legend raise the bail.
Alves currently has his assets frozen under a Brazilian court order related to his former wife, Dinorah Santana, who filed for divorce.
Meanwhile, it is understood that the release of Alves will come with a number of conditions, including one requiring the former Paris Saint-Germain ace to appear before the court on a weekly basis.
The former Brazil international has also been ordered to relinquish his Brazilian and Spanish passports.
A restraining order barring him from getting close to his victim has also been effected.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on the footballer's brother quashing rumours of Alves' death in prison.
Rumours about the football legend's apparent death circulated on social media after his sentencing.
However, his brother swiftly shut down these malicious reports, via a furious response on Instagram.
Alves was handed his jail term in late February, with his team indicating they would lodge an appeal.
