  • Pitso Mosimane’s agent has given a hint on the coach’s next career path
  • The South African manager is presently on a four-month contract with Abha Club
  • Mosimane has been strongly linked with Kaizer Chiefs ahead of next season

Pitso Mosimane is not looking forward to coaching in South Africa anytime soon despite Kaizer Chiefs' long-standing interest in signing the former Mamelodi Sundowns manager.

Amakhosi have identified the legendary South African manager as their preferred candidate to take over the reins at the club next season following a troubled campaign this term.

According to Sunday World, Mosimane’s agent Moira Tlhagale has disclosed that the current Abha Club manager has instructed that he wants to continue coaching in Saudi Arabia.

“The coach was very clear that he wants to be with the big boys in Saudi Arabia. “I mean, I think we all know that the Saudi league has now grown, it’s got big, big players that they’ve brought in."

Mosimane signed a four-month contract with Abha in January and has been given the task of helping the club escape relegation from the Saudi Pro League this season.

Wydad Casablanca wants Pitso Mosimane

Meanwhile, Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca is the latest club interested in signing Mosimane after parting ways with their current manager Faouzi Benzarti, Kickoff reports.

The 2021/22 CAF Champions League winners are presently sixth on the league table in Morocco with 34 points after gathering just nine victories in 24 matches this campaign.

Wydad have also won just once in their last five games in the league and also failed to progress beyond the group stage of the Champions League this season, finishing third in Group B behind Simba SC and ASEC Mimosas.

Kaizer Chiefs advised to sign Mosimane

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Edward Manqele has advised Kaizer Chiefs to appoint Mosimane as the next permanent manager among the coaches linked with the club.

After months of being without a managerial position, the South African tactician is now working as an Abha Club coach on a four-month contract.

Since Molefi Ntseki's departure, a couple of coaches have been associated with Kaizer Chiefs, and the interim manager, Cavin Johnson, has not met the board's expectations.
