Reports from England have it that Manchester United are preparing a €110 million offer to land Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen.

It is presumed that the new management will do everything to bolster the squad ahead of the 2024/25 football season.

Further reports claim United are already ahead of French club, Paris Saint-Germain, in the race to sign 25-year-old Osimhen.

The Independent stated the EPL club are ready to put in the bid for the reigning African Player of the Year, via Tribal Football:

"The Nigerian forward has 13 goals this season and helped Napoli win Serie A last time around. Osimhen is wanted by Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and a host of other top teams. He is said to have a €110m release clause in the new contract he signed in Naples recently."

Osimhen missed a number of matches in the ongoing season due to injuries and his national team engagement with Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

He has, however, notched in 11 goals and made three assists in 16 appearances in the Italian Serie A.

The former Lille of France striker had a remarkable 2022/2023 season, helping Napoli to the Scudetto for the first time in more than 33 years, scoring 26 goals in 32 matches.

Osimhen's penalty struggles continue

Sports Brief also reported the Nigerian star has been the man to step up for the Italian side of late, but fans are not impressed with Osimhen lately.

The Super Eagles striker was in the headlines again this past weekend after he failed to convert a penalty attempt for Napoli against Juventus.

Wojciech Szczęsny pushed Osimhen’s effort away, but thankfully for the Napoli striker, Giacomo Raspadori was on hand to score the rebound.
