Pop singer, Shakira, has refused to mention her ex, Gerard Pique, by name, instead referring to the former Barcelona star as a fictional villain in one of her latest interviews.

She and iconic defender publicly ended their romance in June 2022 when they announced they were going their separate ways after 11 years together.

The former couple has two children together: 11-year-old Milan and nine-year-old Sasha.

In the two years they have been separated, Shakira has not shied away from talking about Pique, with the pop superstar consistently taking swipes at the former Barcelona star.

The latest dig came in her interview with The Times, where she referred to Pique by referencing a Harry Potter villain instead of using the former footballer's name.

Shakira shades Pique, again

Shakira, 47, is set to release a new all-Spanish album dubbed Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.

According to People.com, the project has a song dubbed Ultima, where more shots are fired at Pique.

Part of the lyrics are translated as follows:

"Surely with time you'll regret it, and someday you'll want to come back to my door."

In an interview with The Times, the mother of two was asked if the lyrics were aimed at her former partner, to which she responded:

"Voldemort, that one that shouldn't be mentioned? It's hopefully the last song that I will write about this, and to him."

Fans of science-fiction movies will remember Voldemort as the primary antagonist from the classic Harry Potter franchise.
