  • Cedric Soares may have played his last game for Arsenal, with the defender set to depart
  • Reports suggest the 32-year-old is among a host of Arsenal stars who could be offloaded
  • Soares, who joined the Gunners in 2020 is currently on loan with London rivals Fulham

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the future of Cedric Soares at Arsenal.

The Gunners are expected to trim their squad ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

The move is expected to help the club raise funds for summer targets and make room for new arrivals.

According to SPORTbible, citing The Athletic's David Ornstein, the likes of Aaron Ramsdale, Kieran Tierney, Nuno Tavares, Sambi Lokonga, Thomas Partey, Jorginho, Fabio Vieira, Reiss Nelson, and Eddie Nketiah could be offloaded.

However, many more are seemingly expected to depart, with Soares also said to be on the chopping board.

Arsenal to offload Cedric Soares

This is according to transfer guru Romano, who recently claimed that the future of the Portuguese at the Emirates Stadium has already been decided.

Taking to X, the respected Italian journalist disclosed that a decision to have Soares shipped out has already been made.

"Cedric Soares will leave Arsenal as a free agent in the summer, decision made," Romano posted.
"Portuguese RB remains fully committed to the club until June as a top professional then he will leave #AFC.
“Many clubs in Europe, considering Cédric as a top option for the summer on free transfer," he added.

The 32-year-old joined Arsenal in 2020 from Inter Milan.

However, he has seen his fortunes at the club plummet, a situation that saw him sent out on loan to Fulham in 2023.

Arsenal complete signing of youngster

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Arsenal confirming the signing of Wolves wonderkid Brayden Clarke.

It is understood that the promising defender will initially join Arsenal's Under-18 team as he hopes to come through the ranks.

"We are delighted to announce that Wales youth international Brayden Clarke has joined us," Arsenal said in a statement.
"We all welcome Brayden and his family to Arsenal," the club added.

The teenage ace started his football career with Wolves.
