  • Ederson is said to have picked up a thigh injury during Man City's clash vs Liverpool
  • The hot-stopper collided with Darwin Nunez and injured himself in the process
  • The injury is expected to keep the Brazilian on the sidelines for three to four weeks

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson is reportedly a major doubt for his side's vital Premier League title clash against Arsenal.

The Brazilian was part of the City squad that settled for a 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

However, he was unable to see out the remainder of the cracker and had to be substituted during the second half after he injured himself fouling Darwin Nunez.

According to talkSPORT, the shot-stopper collided with Nunez to concede a penalty, injuring himself in the process.

Ederson, who is City's first-choice goalkeeper, was subsequently replaced with Stefan Ortega, who played the rest of the match.

The Brazil international was spotted walking straight down the tunnel after his substitution, sparking a huge concern for City.

Ederson likely to miss Arsenal cracker

According to sports journalist Jack Gaughan, Ederson suffered a thigh injury, which could see him stay on the sidelines for three to four weeks.

This means that the goalkeeper could miss City's possible title decider against Arsenal on March 31.

The tie comes at a time when only a point is separating the Gunners at the top and Pep Guardiola's men in third.

Ederson has been a mainstay figure for the Citizens since he joined them in 2017.

The 30-year-old has gone on to play a pivotal part in the club's success, including their record-breaking treble-winning season last term.

The Brazilian has won five Premier League titles during his six-year stay at the Etihad Stadium.
