Nigeria defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel, became an overnight Fenerbahce hero following his bold reaction after fans of Trabzonspor invaded the pitch during a Turkish Super Lig game.

The Super Eagles right-back confronted a supporter who was about to attack him by putting him down with a heavy punch.

Stewards quickly stormed the pitch to protect the players and officials as a classic game ended in chaotic scenes at Papara Park.

In a video shared on social media, fans of Fenerbahce were spotted chanting the Nigerian's name as the team left the stadium following their 3-2 victory.
