Strength of schedule

Six of Manchester City's last 10 Premier League matches will come against teams currently in the top 10.

They will be tested right after the international break, with City hosting league leaders Arsenal and Aston Villa in back-to-back games.

Their schedule will ease after that, with City facing 14th-ranked Crystal Palace, 17th-ranked Luton Town, and 18th-ranked Nottingham Forest in the month of April.

Two of City's remaining league matches have been postponed due to their participation in the FA Cup. Those games are against eighth-ranked Brighton and fifth-ranked Tottenham Hotspur. Those matches will make City's title run-in even more difficult.

Man City's remaining home and away games

Five of City's remaining 10 matches will take place at the Etihad Stadium. They will lock horns with Arsenal on March 31, Aston Villa on April 3, Luton Town on April 13, Wolves on May 4, and West Ham United on May 19 at home.

City will face some tough tests on the road as well, with their postponed games against Brighton and Tottenham happening away from home.

Their other away matches will come against Crystal Palace on April 6, Nottingham Forest on April 27, and Fulham on May 11.

Past meetings with remaining opponents

The defending champs have not been that dominant against their remaining opponents this season, only beating five of them in their previous meetings this campaign.

Manchester City won against Luton Town, Nottingham Forest, Brighton, Fulham, and West Ham United in their opening league matchups this season.

Among the clubs that they will still face this season, Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Wolves have recorded wins against them in the 2023-24 campaign.

City lost 1-0 to Arsenal at the Emirates through a Gabriel Martinelli goal, per Eurosport. They also suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa and a 2-1 loss to Wolves earlier this season.

Arsenal's remaining Premier League matches

Sports Brief recently reported on Arsenal's 2024 Premier League schedule.

The Gunners will be tested right after the international break, with five of their next six games coming against teams inside the top 10.

They will next face Manchester City on March 31 in a top-of-the-table clash.
