The Ghana U20 female team took inspiration from West Ham United star, Mohammed Kudus, as they defeated Senegal to reach the final of the African Games.

In their semi-final clash against Senegal, the players joined the latest trend after hitting the Kudus celebration.

Forward Tracy Twum, who opened the scoring after 18 minutes borrowed a chair from a photographer to take a seat as she was joined by her teammates.

In photos shared on social media, the Ampem Darkoa Ladies star and her teammates were ecstatic as they celebrated the opener.

Moments later Ophelia Amponsah doubled Ghana's lead before Senegal pulled one back from the spot in the second half.

The Black Princesses restored the two-goal advantage after Amponsah netted her second of the game to send Ghana through to the final, as reported by Ghana Soccernet.

They will now face the Super Falconets, who defeated Uganda 2-0 in the other semi-final.

Super Falconets reach African Games final

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Nigeria secured a place in the final of the 2023 African Games after the Falconets defeated Uganda in the semi-finals of the women's football event.

The Falconets proved they are the favourites ahead of the semi-final tie as they claimed a resounding 2-0 win over the Uganda ladies.

Goals from second-half substitutes Adaobi Okah and Chiamaka Okwuchukwu fired Nigeria into the final of the competition.

Kudus produces new West Ham celebration

Sports Brief also reported that Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus produced another iconic celebration after scoring in West Ham's win over Freiburg in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday evening.

The English Premier League side thrashed the German Bundesliga outfits 5-0 in the second leg of their UEL Round of 16 ties at the London Stadium.

The Hammers lost the first leg 1-0 in Germany, but a win at home sealed a place in the competition's quarter-finals.
