Nigeria is through to the finals of the 2023 African Games after the Falconets defeated Uganda in the semi-finals of the women's football event.
The Falconets proved they are the favourites ahead of the semi-final tie as they claimed a resounding 2-0 win over the Uganda ladies.
Goals from second-half substitutes Adaobi Okah and Chiamaka Okwuchukwu fired Nigeria into the final of the competition.
The defending champions started the game on the wrong foot as they were kept at bay by Uganda in the first half, according to a report by All Nigeria Soccer.

Christopher Danjuma decided to make changes in the 71st minute after they struggled to get goals in the game, with Okah replacing Olushola Shobowale and Okwuchukwu coming in for Motunrayo Ezekiel.
Okah put the Falconets ahead three minutes after the substitutions, with another strike in the 84th minute being ruled out for offside.
The Falconets put the game to bed as Okwuchukwu scored a late goal to give the defending champions a two-goal lead and send them into the final of the competition.
Danjuma's side will face either the host Ghana or Senegal in the final, and the two West African nations will lock horns in the second semi-final clash.
The Falconets are favourites to win the gold medal in the event but might face a difficult task if they meet the host, Ghana, in the final.
