The Super Eagles’ kits have become somewhat of a trendsetter in recent years and the 2024 strips do not disappoint.

This time around, Nigeria used white as the main colour for the home kit, capturing the purity of the ‘Naija’ spirit.

On the other hand, the away kit represents the creative communities that connect across the country whenever the national team takes the pitch, iDiski Times reports.

In the same vein, the home kit for the Brazilian national teams features an intricate pattern that focuses on the country’s beautiful natural heritage.

Different details of Brazil are contained within the richly textured pattern set against the distinctive yellow backdrop, from musical notes to macaws.

Nigerian fans have taken to social media to express diverse opinions over the new shirts. One said:

"Super cute but I feel the Nike logo should have been green as well."

Another added:

"Please bring back the other jersey. No upgrade so just bring back the other kit make e no cause p."

A critic said:

"Not pretty, always give us a draft design to vote from."

Peseiro rules out possible Super Eagles return

Sports Brief earlier reported that Portuguese manager, Jose Peseiro, ruled out the possibility of returning as Super Eagles coach and also shared his view on Victor Osimhen's future.

The former FC Porto coach led Nigeria to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast but lost 2-1 to the host nation.

With his contract ending after the competition's final, the Portuguese failed to reach an agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation for a contract extension and decided to leave.
