The Al-Nassr women’s team received a special message from Cristiano Ronaldo after securing the league title on Friday, March 15.

In what was a good day for Al Nassr all round, the men’s team also secured a win as they beat Al Ahli 1-0.

The women’s team was subjected to a dramatic finale to the season, as they overcame Al-Yamamah 3-2 to claim crucial three points.

That win proved to be the difference as they ended the season three points above their city rivals Al Hilal, who drew 4-4 against Al-Ittihad, per One Football.

Al Nassr players were overly joyous after the win, and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo also joined in the festivities, albeit via social media.

Ronaldo congratulates Al Nassr women’s team

The Portugal star took to his Instagram to celebrate the team , and he also reposted a tweet from the women’s team’s official X account along with the caption ,”Congratulations”.

It was delightful to see Ronaldo set aside time to celebrate the women’s team, especially because he also stole headlines on the same day.

The 39-year-old scored the only goal of the game for Al Nassr against Al Ahli as they closed the gap on leaders Al Hilal to nine points with a handful of matches to go.

Ronaldo is the leading scorer in the Saudi Pro League with an impressive 22 goals.

His penalty on Friday took his tally for Al Nassr to 50 goals since signing for the club in December 2022.

As per Transfermarkt, the former Real Madrid man now has a staggering 751 club goals.
