Peseiro responsible for Super Eagles squad list?
According to the report, the former Sporting CP coach compiled the list immediately after the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The report highlighted that the Portuguese coach had hoped his contract talks with the Football Federation would be resolved quickly following the team's positive performance at the tournament. However, with both parties failing to agree on terms for a contract extension, the 63-year-old left his role as coach of the side.
Despite this, the list of players provided by the coach had already been handed over to the country's football federation, and it was subsequently published for the upcoming international window.
The friendlies will likely see Finidi George, assistant coach to Peseiro, lead the Super Eagles for the matches scheduled in Morocco.
