Imagine appearing as a fan of your favourite Sunday League team, only to get a surprise visit from one of the greatest ever strikers in football history.
This is precisely what happened over the weekend, as fans of an NWL Division 8 club were graced by the presence of Ronaldo Nazario.
Ronaldo, now 47, boosted the team’s chances of scoring a goal despite his advanced age by coming as a super sub whilst the team was 4-0 down.
The retired star pulled up at the Henderson Sports and Social Club in a white Limousine, leaving fans and players in awe.

In a video shared by Paddy Power, Ronaldo showed some neat touches and his natural Brazilian flair on the ball while representing what has been dubbed the “worst team in England”.
One of the highlights of the game was when he performed a cheeky Rabona, which did little to help his team mount a comeback.
His interesting cameo saw him get caught offside once and bizarrely, he was also caught using his phone before eventually getting subbed off by his temporary manager for not tracking back.
As reported by SportBible, the former Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan striker had to adopt a different name since he was not registered as a player for Phoenix. He went into the game as 'Dave Walsh'.
After the game, players and fans lucky enough to attend the Sunday League game took photos with the legend.

FootballSports Brief has since established that his cameo for Phoenix was part of a scripted video by Paddy Power as a marketing gimmick.
Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho in Riyadh
Only days earlier, R9 was in Riyadh alongside Jose Mourinho for the Egypt Cup final.
As Sports Brief reported, two of Egypt’s biggest clubs Zamalek and Al Ahly met at Al-Awwal Park in Saudi Arabia for the Egypt Cup final on Friday, March 8.
To the surprise of millions of football fans across the world, the trio of Mourinho, Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazario and Roma legend Francesco Totti were present for the opening ceremony.
