  • Mohamed Salah has opened up on his plans to quit Liverpool in future
  • The Egyptian forward has been linked with a move away from Anfield
  • Salah will have only a year left on his current contract in this summer

Jurgen Klopp’s decision to quit Liverpool at the end of the season has caused Mohamed Salah to think about his immediate future with the English Premier League club.

The 31-year-old Egyptian forward was subject to a world-record bid from Saudi Arabian club, Al-Ittihad, last summer, but the bid was turned down by the Reds, who were unwilling to offload their star player.

According to KingFut, Salah has stated that Klopp’s departure from Liverpool will not have an impact on his future with the Reds if he decides to stay with the Premier League club.

"It’s part of life now that everything moves. There are important players that already left the club. The manager was also important for the club but now he’s leaving. One day I will leave the club."

Al-Ittihad are reportedly preparing a €235 million bid for Salah, which would make him the most expensive player in history, surpassing Neymar’s €222mil move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.

Liverpool offered blank cheque for Salah

Meanwhile, big-spending Saudi Pro League clubs are prepared to pay a large sum to recruit the 31-year-old Egyptian international, and have requested Liverpool to name their price, The Hard Tackle reports.

Salah is under contract with Liverpool until the summer of 2025, and the Premier League club may be under pressure to sell their ace if he does not renew his contract at the end of the season.

The forward has been in fantastic form for the Reds this season, scoring 19 goals in all competitions and providing a further 10 assists as the Merseysiders push to win an almost unprecedented quadruple.

Liverpool receive Mo Salah boost

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Liverpool received a major injury boost ahead of their Premier League showdown with Manchester City after Salah was pictured back in training.

The 31-year-old Egyptian has only made two appearances for the Reds in 2024 due to hamstring issues, having left Egypt's camp early after being injured early in the 2023 AFCON.
