Koulibaly joined Al Hilal last summer after a difficult season at Chelsea. He joined the Blues after an impressive spell at Italian club Napoli.

Other top players who play alongside the Senegalese include, Neymar, Ruben Neves, Yassine Bounou, Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Sergej Milinković-Savić, per Transfermarkt.

Ronaldo was among the first top players to move to Saudi Arabia. He opened the door for others like Al Ittihad's Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante, Sadio Mane, Riyad Maherez, and Roberto Firmino.

Clubs in the league spent a lot of money signing these players from European clubs in a bid to raise the profile of the SPL.

Koulibaly praises Ronaldo, Neymar

Koulibaly and Al Hilal are top of the table, 12 points ahead of Ronaldo's Al Nassr. The SPL leaders are unbeaten in the league and have won 16 league matches in a row.

Koulibaly praised ROnaldo's commitment to the sport.

“Many must thank Ronaldo. He had the courage to make this step. He is a real champion. He trains with the same passion as a kid and he scores extraordinary goals," via Football Italia.

The 2021 AFCON winner hailed his teammate Neymar, who is still recovering from injury.

"I call Neymar ‘magic’. What he does with the ball is unimaginable. He embarrasses you for how strong he is. Everything looks easy to him and you don’t understand if you are bad or if he’s from another planet.”

The defender has become a key player for the SPL giants as they seek to win their first league title since the 2021/22 season.
