  • The Saudi Pro League leaders defeated Al-Nassr to open the gap
  • Koulibaly had the best of Ronaldo in the top-of-the-table clash

Senegal and Al-Hilal defender, Kalidou Koulibaly got the better of Cristiano Ronaldo after leaving the Portuguese ace stuck with a lovely dribble in the match against Al-Nassr.

The former Chelsea defender managed to keep the five-time Ballon d'Or winner mute for most part of the game as Al Hilal strolled to victory at the Al Awwal Park.

Second-half goals from Sergej Milinković-Savić and Aleksandar Mitrovic were enough for the league leaders, as they established a seven-point lead over the Knight of Najd.

In a video shared on social media, Koulibaly majestically controlled a long ball from the Al-Nassr half before calmly dribbling the ex-Real Madrid star.

Meanwhile, in a strong second-half performance, Milinkovic opened the scoring after heading home from a Saed Abdulhamid cross in the 64th minute.

Mitrovic doubled the lead with two minutes remaining after rising high to head home a Salem Aldawsari corner kick.

The former Fulham forward added his second two minutes later after finishing off a brilliant pass from compatriot Milinkovic-Savic.

Ronaldo booed by Al Hilal fans

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Cristiano Ronaldo was met by boos and jeers following the announcement of his name during the Riyadh derby between Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr.

The Portuguese superstar either attracts cheers or boos, depending on where he is, and that was the case ahead of the Riyadh derby.

Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr side were taking on Al-Hilal, the team at the top of the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo makes request for foreign referees

Sports Brief also reported that Cristiano Ronaldo wants the best officiating when Al Nassr travels to play against current Saudi Pro League leaders, Al Hilal on Friday, December 1 and has requested a foreign official for the game.

Al Nassr, who are currently second, are presently four points behind Al Hilal in the race for the league title this season, and the top-of-the-table clash could determine where the trophy heads at the end of the campaign.

According to Sportskeeda, Ronaldo has reportedly forwarded a request to the Saudi Pro League authorities for foreign referee, Colombia’s Wilmar Roldan, to officiate their upcoming match against Al-Hilal.
