  • Victor Osimhen has been ruled out of making a move to one of his admirers in the English Premier League

One of the English Premier League clubs interested in Victor Osimhen has been reportedly ruled out of signing the Super Eagles from Napoli in the summer.

The Nigerian international is rated as one of the best strikers in Europe, and he is the reigning CAF African Footballer of the Year.

The former Lille striker has been constantly linked with a move away from Napoli, with the English Premier League being his likely destination.

Osimhen has a release clause in the region of £100 million after signing a new contract with the Italian side recently.

The Super Eagles striker has attracted interest from different clubs in the EPL, with Chelsea and Arsenal being at the forefront.

One of his secret admirers, Tottenham, are said to be ruled out of signing the Nigerian striker in the summer, according to a report by Reuters, as per All Nigeria Soccer.

Ange Postecoglou claimed that the North London club will not be investing £100 million on a single player.

"I don't think we are in a position to spend 100 million pounds on a player. That is not the case and I don't think it will ever be the case for the club," he said
"Our competitors are (spending), irrespective of the positions (they are in)...I have always felt with those things it is not what you spend, it is how you spend it."

Petit predicts Osimhen’s next club

Sports Brief earlier reported that former France international, Emmanuel Petit, believes Osimhen is more likely to join Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

The Red Devils and PSG, alongside Chelsea and Arsenal, are the four clubs that have been linked with an interest in the Napoli forward ahead of the summer transfer window.
