TS Galaxy veteran striker Bernard Parker has offered insight into his ongoing recovery, which has sidelined him from action for a while.

Parker, who joined Galaxy last season, has been absent from competitive play for the past four months and is focusing on rehabilitation.

He remains optimistic about his progress and feels even ahead of schedule.

“So far, so good, the rehabilitation process has been smooth. According to my knowledge, I’m one month ahead in progress,” Parker said, as quoted on Far Post.

The 37-year-old utility player stressed the importance of mental strength during his recovery and expressed his commitment to supporting his teammates. While he couldn't provide a specific timeline for his return to action, indications suggest he may return to the field soon.

Parker also addressed the circumstances surrounding his injury, acknowledging the emotional buildup that led to the tackle by Zungu. He, however, maintained a reconciliatory stance.

"This has happened to a lot of players. Maybe I am the unlucky one at this moment. I am not angry at all," suggesting there was intent behind the reckless tackle," he explained in an interview with Andile Ncube.

Reflecting on his tenure with Chiefs, where he played over 300 matches and scored 60 goals, Parker expressed gratitude for the support he has received from his current club.
