Mamelodi Sundowns head coach, Rulani Mokwena, has shed light on the strategy behind integrating new signings, including Thembinkosi Lorch, Matias Esquivel, and others.
Lorch, who recently joined from Orlando Pirates, has primarily appeared as a substitute in four matches.
Mokwena clarified that the approach is part of assimilating players like Lorch, Esquivel, Zuko Mdunyelwa, Divine Lunga, and Tashreeq Matthews into the squad.
He stressed that it was about adjusting tactically and adapting to the demanding travel schedule and frequent camps, given Masandawana's busy calendar.

“He has to be integrated into the system, and not only about how we play but also the travelling. Lorch is not used to every two or three days he’s in camp, so he will come and same with Matias and Zuko," Mokwena said, as quoted on iDiski Times.
Lorch marked his debut for Sundowns in a 1-1 draw against his former club, Orlando Pirates, at Loftus Stadium on February 17. Notably, Pirates had initially registered Lorch for the CAF Champions League this season, but he avoided being cup-tied due to an injury during their preliminary round exit.
On a personal note, the midfielder aims for a smoother year after facing legal issues related to assault. Following his split with actress, model, and influencer Natasha Thahane, Lorch seeks to begin a new chapter. Thahane announced on Instagram that they are both "romantic free agents."
