  • Napoli will demand the full release clause to sell Victor Osimhen this summer
  • Chelsea are leading the race to sign the Super Eagles attacker
  • Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal are also interested in signing Osimhen

Napoli are demanding a whopping sum of €130 million from English Premier League giant Chelsea for the signature of Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen.

The 25-year-old Nigerian is top on the shortlist of strikers for the Blues this summer as they seek to reinforce their attack after an underwhelming 2023/24 season.

According to Score Nigeria, Napoli are ready to cash in on Osimhen but will accept nothing but his full release clause if they are to part with the Super Eagles forward in the summer transfer window.

The Nigerian attacker only recently signed a contract extension with the reigning Serie A champions until 2026, which President Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed has a huge release clause attached to it.

Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are the other two clubs reportedly interested in Osimhen as the Gunners want the Napoli star forward to lead their attack next season, while PSG wants him to replace the outgoing Kylian Mbappe.

PSG make Osimhen top target

Meanwhile, Osimhen is PSG’s top transfer priority in the summer transfer window as the French club sees the Napoli striker as the ideal forward to lead their attack next season, Soccernet reports.

The Nigerian forward’s development in Italy has caught the attention of PSG’s hierarchy who are desperate to sign a marquee forward as all attempt to keep Mbappe has failed.

Osimhen was crowned the 2023 African Footballer of the Year after scoring 26 goals to help Napoli win the club’s first Serie A title in 33 years.

Mikel speaks on Osimhen’s future

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mikel Obi claims Osimhen is considering joining Chelsea in the summer as the forward has taken an interest in the English Premier League club.

A plethora of clubs, including English powerhouses Chelsea and Arsenal and French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, have reportedly expressed interest in signing the 25-year-old attacker.

Osimhen has scored 11 Serie A goals in 17 appearances this season.
