Clubs and countries chase Zidane's services
Meanwhile, the 1998 World Cup winner has been cautious in considering job offers, both at club and national team levels. His aspiration to lead the French national team seems unlikely until at least 2026.
According to a report by French publication L'Equipe, Zidane turned down opportunities to coach the Algerian national team despite feeling 'honoured' by the interest from his parents' homeland.
The report also suggests that Zizou rejected offers from Brazil and the United States.
The latest rumours, as per Football Espana, have centred on the former Real Madrid boss potentially replacing the departing Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich, with the German coach set to leave in June.
Zidane 'names' the 3 teams he wants to coach
However, former Denmark star, Thomas Gravesen, disclosed Zidane's preferred coaching destinations during a discussion with Discovery+.
He said, as quoted by SportBIBLE: "I spoke to Zidane in Madrid two years ago, and he told me that there are only three roles that he would like to accept.
"And they are Marseille, [Real] Madrid, and the French team. We were in Madrid two years ago, and he told me exactly that," Gravesen recalled.

Football5 possible coaching destinations for Zidane
Gravesen might have hinted at Zidane's preferred coaching position, but Sports Brief considers five potential destinations that align with the French tactician's profile.
While Juventus holds a special place in the Frenchman's heart, other clubs could vie for his services come summer.
Moreover, the Premier League might present an enticing proposition, especially given Erik ten Hag's tumultuous second season with Manchester United and Sir Jim Ratcliffe's admiration for him.
Again, Liverpool and Chelsea also emerge as plausible options.
