  • Gary Neville has reacted to the performance of Mohammed Kudus against Brentford
  • The Ghana international delivered an assist as West Ham United defeated the Bees
  • Kudus has been in fine form since moving to the English Premier League last summer

Former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville, has advised Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus to improve his decision-making.

Kudus served an assist as the Hammers defeated Brentford 4-2 at the London Olympic Stadium on Monday night.

Despite the performance of the 23-year-old, Neville was not impressed with the winger's final touches, insisting Kudus sometimes over elaborates on the ball.

"Kudus has got something special, but he needs to be more mature in his final choices," Neville said, as quoted by Ghana Soccernet.
"Sometimes wingers can be unpredictable, but they need to be unpredictable not just to the opposition but also to their own teammates. In the first half, he took one or two wild shots instead of making a final pass."

The former Ajax star has already made nine goal contributions in the Premier League, delivering his third assist in the Brentford game to add to his six goals.

Meanwhile, his teammate in attack, Jarrod Bowen scored his first Premier League hat-trick to add to Emerson's second-half volley as the Hammers returned to winning ways.

Neal Maupay and AFCON star Yoanne Wissa scored the consolation goals for the Bees.

Kudus joined West Ham in the summer transfer window from Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam, as reported by the BBC.

Garnacho taunts Kudus with celebration

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Alejandro Garnacho made fun of Kudus after hitting his iconic celebration during the hammering of West Ham at Old Trafford.

The Argentine youngster scored twice as Manchester United cruised to a 3-0 victory at Old Trafford early in February.

Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and Rasmund Hojlund quickly run to the advertising board to celebrate just like the Ghanaian does when he scores.

Kudus leads dribblers list in the EPL

Sports Brief also reported that Ghanaian midfielder Kudus sits top of the dribblers table in the English Premier League following his impressive start to life in England.

The former Ajax star is ahead of the likes of Bukayo Saka and Jeremy Doku with his effortless ability to beat his markers.

Kudus has been one of the most exciting players in the 2023/24 campaign moving to England in the summer transfer window.
