Kylian Mbappe: La Liga club ‘announces’ Frenchman hours after PSG exit reports
FootballKylian Mbappe Jeered by PSG Fans in First Game Since Announcement of His Departure
- Kylian Mbappe was booed by fans during the game against Rennes
- The Frenchman announced he would leave the club in the summer
- Mbappe failed to inspire in Paris Saint-Germain's 1-1 Ligue 1 draw
Kylian Mbappe got a taste of what Paris Saint-Germain fans felt about him as he was brutally booed during a Ligue 1 game on Sunday, February 25.
The Frenchman dropped a bombshell earlier in February after announcing that he would depart the Paris-based club at the end of the season.
Real Madrid remains the star forward's most likely destination, with reports suggesting a five-year-deal with Los Blancos is already in the works.
Mbappe's first game for PSG since the news broke was a home game against Rennes, with Luis Enrique opting to start the World Cup winner.

The visitors took the lead in the first half brilliantly as Amine Gouiri’s stunner silenced fans at the Parc des Princes.
For Mbappe, by his standards, it was a poor afternoon for the 25-year-old and with the clock winding down, he was hooked off to be replaced by Goncalo Ramos.
As he was walking off, the France captain was jeered by the fans, which is surprising given all he has achieved at the club since his move from Monaco seven years ago.
Mbappe lasted 65 minutes in the game and managed just two shots, and neither was on target, per Transfermarkt.
Neymar and Messi suffered similar fates
It is interesting to see the indifference and anger of PSG fans towards a player they feel has 'insulted' the badge.
In the past, Mbappe somehow escaped the wrath of the faithful, possibly because of his commitment to the club.
5 players Paris Saint-Germain can sign to replace Kylian Mbappe
FootballThe same cannot be said about Lionel Messi and Neymar Junior, who were both jeered by fans of the Ligue 1 team.
What Enrique said about Mbappe
Interestingly, Enrique’s decision to take off Mbappe proved to be decisive as Ramos ended up scoring a dramatic late equaliser.
After the game, the PSG boss explained his decision to take off his superstar forward.
"Sooner or later, at some point, we have to get used to playing without Kylian Mbappe," he said, per TalkSport.
PSG's next game is a tricky trip to Mbappe's former team - Monaco - on Friday, March 1.
5 possibilities if Mbappe joins Real Madrid
Sports Brief also previously predicted some of the possible outcomes of Kylian Mbappe’s transfer, should he sign for Real Madrid as expected.
Among the things that could take place after the move is the Spanish club being more dominant, even becoming unstoppable in Europe.
Mbappe, who has never won the UEFA Champions League, could also see himself and his new team succeeding in the elite-tier competition.
