Real Madrid remain the favourites to land the services of Mbappe, and it has been rumoured that personal terms will be agreed in the next few weeks.

This has not stopped Los Blancos’ La Liga rivals Getafe from dreaming, as the club hilariously suggested the 24-year-old was heading to the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez through a post on X, formerly Twitter.

In typical announcements of new signings, Getafe posted a ‘photo-shopped’ image of Mbappe in the club’s colours along with the caption ‘tic tac’, coupled with an animal emoji.

The post instantly went viral, with fans chiming in with hilarious comments for Getafe’s cheeky attempt to woo Mbappe.

What Javier Tebas said about Mbappe

While Mbappe’s exit from Ligue 1 is almost inevitable, his next destination remains the subject of great speculation.

Prior to reports that he would leave PSG at the end of the season, La Liga President Javier Tebas was unsure whether the 2018 World Cup winner would be in the Spanish top flight next season but admitted the chances had increased.

"I said [the chances] were around 50 per cent some weeks ago, now it's even more,” Tebas said, per The Mirror.
He added: "55-60? Yes, I think so. Every day that passes and Mbappe does not sign the new contract with PSG, the percentage increases. I don't know the costs of Mbappe deal but in any case, Real have an excellent financial situation. They never did crazy things in the recent years."

Tchouameni’s reaction to Mbappe rumours

In other news, Real Madrid superstar Aurelien Tchouameni recently sent the internet into meltdown with his comment on Kylian Mbappe.

Although he did not directly address the speculations, the midfielder shared emojis of popcorn on his X account, likely to imply the Mbappe saga was only going to get more entertaining.
