A viral video captured on the streets of Napoli features a journalist questioning fans of the club about who they believe is the greatest striker to have ever played for the team.

The trending video clip depicts fans being prompted to identify the greatest striker who has ever worn the Napoli jersey.

The choices presented included Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, Gonzalo Higuain, and Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani.

Shortly after commencing the poll, it became evident within minutes which two options were the most favoured and the reasons behind their popularity.

Within minutes of initiating the poll, it became clear which two options were the most favoured and the reasons for their popularity became apparent.

Osimhen secured 20 out of the 40 votes cast in the poll, while Cavani garnered 14 and Gonzalo Higuain received only 6, per EuroFoot.

Osimhen's excellent performance in Serie A last season has ignited interest from many clubs for the 25-year-old.

Chelsea send scouts to monitor Osimhen

Sports Brief earlier reported that Chelsea are reportedly still scouting Osimhen, with the club appearing to be doing everything possible to sign the Super Eagles forward next summer.

The Blues are in the race for the Nigerian striker's signature, along with Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, with the 25-year-old in high demand due to his goal-scoring exploits for Napoli.

Reports have that the Blues sent scouts to watch the forward in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first-leg game between the Italian champs and the Catalan giants this week.

Osimhen overlooked by CAF
