According to iDiski Times, Chiefs are looking to sign Sphephelo ‘Yaya’ Sithole, who was ever-present in South Africa's lineup at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations; Sithole and Bafana Bafana finished third in Ivory Coast.

The midfielder currently plays for CD Tondela in the Portuguese second division, and his deal expires when the current season ends.

Chiefs were interested in signing the KwaZulu-Natal academy product a few years ago, but a deal never materialised.

Sithole and Teboho Mokoena were incredible at the 2023 AFCON. Their partnership was impressive even when they came up against Morroco and Nigeria.

Another player on the Chiefs radar is Polokwane City forward Oswin Appollis. The attacker's only appearance in Ivory Coast came in South Africa's last game in the competition against DR Congo.

Chiefs will need to work harder to acquire these two stars. The PSL giants are looking to end their 10-year trophy drought.

Kaizer Chiefs sign young prospect

Sports Brief earlier reported that Kaizer Chiefs have signed an 18-year-old prospect Kamogelo Malefo, from Tiki Taka Sports Academy.

The exciting youngster bagged an incredible 16 goals and 18 assists in just 18 matches last season. The youngster will join the Under-19 side and wait for a chance to break into the first team.

Chiefs are struggling in front of goal this season and Malefo is a sign that they are aiming to solve that problem in the future.

Mosimane's son shines for Kaizer Chiefs youth

Sports Brief previously reported on Mosimane's son, Reatlegile Mosimane's standout performance for the Kaizer Chiefs Under-13 team in the Gauteng Development League.

Reatlegile scored a goal and provided two assists against Kathorus Hyper Academy in his team's 4-0 win, altering talent scouts about his depth of talent.

In 2021, reports indicated that he was on trial with Barcelona's La Masia academy. However, it was clarified he was merely training with a satellite team in Cairo during his school holidays.
