  • Kaka used an interesting analogy to disclose who he feels is the best player of all time
  • Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have been embroiled in that debate for a long time
  • Kaka shared a dressing room with Ronaldo during his four-year spell with Real Madrid

Midfield legend, Kaka, was put on the spot to pick whose call he would answer first if both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo called him at the same time.

The 'Greatest of All Time' (GOAT) debate has persisted for the last decade, with the two stars pushing each other to the limits with exquisite performances.

Kaka was one of the best players in the world during his days, with the pinnacle coming in 2007 when he won the UEFA Champions League with AC Milan before winning the Ballon d'Or award.

Kaka 'settles' GOAT debate

The Brazilian was asked whose call he would pick first if Messi and Ronaldo rang him simultaneously. Kaka reiterated that he loved and appreciated both players equally but settled for the former.

"It's a difficult question, and I love both of them very much, but I will answer Messi first. He is the best of all time," he told AC Milan World.

Messi won the 2022 World Cup with Argentina, which resulted in him winning a record-extending eighth Ballon d'Or last year. The World Cup was the last trophy missing from the former Barcelona captain's cabinet after reaching the final and losing out in 2014.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, played with Kaka at Real Madrid for four years before leaving Los Blancos for Orlando City in 2013.

Kaka's career in Spain didn't hit the expected heights due to constant injury issues. He won the Copa Del Rey in 2011 and the La Liga title in 2012.

Hazard makes his GOAT pick

Sports Brief has also previously reported that Eden Hazard ruffled feathers once again after he declared his preference for Messi over Ronaldo.

The Chelsea legend stoked flames a couple of weeks ago with claims about his skills and has now shown a preference for the Argentine World Cup winner.
