  • Andre Onana says Man United need to win more matches
  • The Red Devils are unbeaten in all competitions in 2024
  • Man United are five points off the Premier League top four

Manchester United have rediscovered their winning edge recently as the Red Devils have remained unbeaten in 2024, but goalkeeper Andre Onana is not too impressed with their latest achievements.

Erik ten Hag’s team have won their last five games across all competitions since the year started, sparking talks of a top-four finish for the Old Trafford club despite their slow start to the season.

According to GOAL, Onana is eager to point out that Man United have done nothing yet and has urged his team to continue winning games.

“We have to continue like this because we have done nothing. We didn't do anything spectacular. Yet now we have to continue winning games, and that is the main thing. We have to try to win against every opponent and especially the next game is another final for us.”

Manchester United currently occupy the sixth position on the Premier League table with 44 points from 25 games so far and are five points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa in the race to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Onana in for EPL Golden Glove award

Meanwhile, Andre Onana is still in the race for the Premier League Golden Gloves despite having one of his most troublesome seasons since joining Manchester United last summer, United in Focus reports.

The Man United goalie is currently joint-second with Liverpool’s Allison in the ranking of goalkeepers with the most clean sheets this season in the EPL, with seven so far.

Only Arsenal’s goalkeeper David Raya and Everton’s Jordan Pickford have had more clean sheets (8) than Onana this season in the English topflight league.

When EPL icon Terry slammed Onana

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Onana was fantastic for Manchester United in their 2-1 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park, but Chelsea legend John Terry was not impressed with his antics.

Terry hit out at the Cameroonian goalkeeper for slowing the game down while the Red Devils were leading against their opponents.

Despite conceding 33 league goals this season, Onana has one of the most clean sheets in the league (seven) and could emulate his predecessor, David De Gea, who won the Golden Glove award last season.
