Manchester City hotshot Erling Haaland is leading the hunt for the Premier League Golden Boot award this season after another hot start to the campaign.

Haaland won the award in his maiden season in the English top flight last term, with the Norwegian beating seasoned strikers like Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah to the crown.

According to Metro UK, the youngster scored an impressive 36 goals to finish as the top scorer,

Additionally, he broke the previous haul of 34 goals held by Manchester United legend Andy Cole and Newcastle icon Alan Shearer.

Who are the leading EPL goal scorers?

The former Borussia Dortmund star has endured his fair share of struggles this term, with injuries and a dip in form affecting his goalscoring prowess.

Be that as it may, he is still topping the goal scorers' charts with 16 goals to his name.

Sporting News reports that he has bagged a further five assists in the process.

The Man City ace is closely followed by Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah, who has found the back of the net 15 times so far this season.

Bournemouth star Dominic Solanke and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins are the other players who have also impressed.

Solanke has scored 14 EPL goals so far, while Watkins has 13 of them to his name.

Tottenham Hotspur skipper Heung-Min Son and Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka complete the top five podium with 12 goals apiece.
