Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has returned to Napoli after representing Nigeria at the just-concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The former Lille striker finished the competition with one goal and one assist, below the standard most football fans and pundits set for him before the tournament.

The Nigerian international could not stop the host nation from winning the trophy as the Elephants defeated Jose Peseiro's side 2-1 in the final.

Osimhen returns to Napoli

In a video shared on social media, Osimhen was spotted at the airport as he returned to Napoli, preparing for their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash against Barcelona next week.

Due to fatigue, the Nigerian striker might not be included in Napoli's squad for their Serie A game against Genoa this weekend.

The viral video of Osimhen's return sparked reactions from fans on social media.
