Angry South African fans have called on Premier Soccer League teams to ensure Chippa United are relegated from the topflight by the end of this season.
Reactions have continued to trail the comments by the club's chairman, Siviwe Mpengesi, who threw his weight of support on Nigeria during the semi-final clash with South Africa at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The Chilli Boys boss stirred controversy with a statement that many termed as unpatriotic.
Hours before the highly-anticipated encounter, Mpengesi released an official statement saying he would be rooting for the Super Eagles instead of Bafana Bafana, GOAL reports.
