  • Mauricio Pochettino has come under scrutiny in recent weeks amid Chelsea's struggles
  • A section of supporters has openly expressed their displeasure with the Argentine coach
  • Pochettino took command of the Blues last summer after the departure of Frank Lampard

Mauricio Pochettino's job at Chelsea is reportedly under no immediate threat, despite calls from many quarters to have the Argentine sacked.

Pochettino took charge of the Blues last summer after the departure of club legend, Frank Lampard, who was at the helm on an interim basis.

However, the former Tottenham Hotspur boss has endured a difficult start to life at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea struggling for form and results.

The west Londoners have recorded 10 defeats in 23 Premier League outings, with their most recent outing ending in a 4-2 humiliation against Wolves.

The defeat saw Pochettino's men drop to 11th in the top flight standings with 31 points.

A section of fans openly expressed their displeasure with the result, with Thiago Silva's wife, Belle, suggesting on X that change was needed.

Her sentiments were widely backed by several supporters, who maintained Poch may not be the right man for the job.

Will Chelsea sack Pochettino?

However, fresh reports indicate Chelsea are unlikely to get rid of the under-fire boss, at least for now. According to talkSPORT, Pochettino's position at Stamford Bridge is under no immediate threat.

The publication claims that the Blues owners would prefer to gauge the tactician's performance at the end of the season instead of upsetting the system midway through.

The development comes just a day after the former Southampton boss issued an apology following his side's humiliation at the hands of Wolverhampton.

Chelsea will be hoping to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they play rivals, Crystal Palace in their next outing.

Fans want Poch out at Chelsea

At the same time, Sports Brief previously reported on a section of Chelsea fans calling for Pochettino's axing as the club manager.

The renewed calls came after the Blues were humbled 4-2 by Wolves at Stamford Bridge, resulting in a drop to 11th in the EPL table.
