  • Kylian Mbappe will reportedly go public with his decision not to continue at PSG
  • Real Madrid is touted as the potential destination for the France international
  • Luis Enrique has denied he has been told anything by the player regarding his decision

Paris Saint-Germain manager, Luis Enrique, has denied any knowledge of a decision expected to be made by winger Kylian Mbappe over his future at the club.

Mbappe is free to negotiate a pre-contract with any club with six months left on his PSG contract but has refused to do so, wanting to end the Ligue 1 season before deciding.

There are reports in the Spanish media claiming the 25-year-old is set to announce his decision not to continue at the club even though he has not decided on his next club.

Per Goal, he will forgo a loyalty bonus of €80 million if he leaves the club for free after reaching a settlement agreement in the summer when he was almost forced out.

Enrique denies speaking to Mbappe

Head coach Luis Enrique, speaking during his press conference ahead of tomorrow's league game against RC Strasbourg, was asked if he knows the news surrounding the player.

“Kylian didn’t tell me anything so far,” he said.

Mbappe, Madrid and PSG have been involved in a transfer saga for two years. Each time it appeared he would leave, the France captain stayed again, but all will be over in the next window.

The Spanish giants threw fans into suspense with a 20-second video on their social media channels teasing an announcement tomorrow, February 2, 2024.

Fans began speculating they were about to announce a new signing, but Marca clarified that they would instead announce tech giant Hewlett-Packard as a new sponsor, bringing in around €30 million per season.

Capello decides for Real Madrid

Sports Brief reported on Fabio Capello telling Real Madrid who to sign between Mbappe and Erling Haaland as they aim to capture one of football's biggest stars.

The former manager analysed both players and said that the former Monaco forward is better and more rounded, but the Premier League star is more suited to their needs.
