The former Everton forward assessed the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations so far.

"it is very simple; African football has grown; we've seen the ratio of goals in the first stanza and the quarter-finals, and we've scored more goals in the competition than the last two editions, which tells you that African football has grown.
"We've seen many past winners that have been eliminated, and they've gone home, and this can be a year for a new champion.
"Will it be the past winners, Nigeria and Ivory Coast, but those that have already qualified to the knockout stages, believe me, they earned their dues being there, so that tells you that this year's competition is the one to watch till the last whistle of the game.

The former Super Eagles assistant manager also shared his thoughts on Nigeria's performance in the competition.

"The Super Eagles are doing well as they are supposed to do, and then let's keep pushing," he added.

Udeze warns Eagles ahead of Angola clash
