Who is Evidence Makgopa?

Evidence Makgopa was born on June 5, 2000, in GaMampa, South Africa.

He started his football journey with Baroka, playing for their youth academy beginning in 2018.

Makgopa was promoted to the first team in January 2020, making his debut for the club against the Hungry Lions in the Nedbank Cup on February 23, 2020.

He helped Baroka advance to the next round, scoring their second goal on his debut. He then made his league debut the following week against Bloemfontein Celtic.

He ended up making 11 appearances in the 2019-20 season, scoring a total of five goals during that campaign.

Makgopa currently plays for Orlando Pirates, a team he joined in 2022.

He has been representing South Africa on the international stage since 2021. He made his debut for Bafana Bafana on June 8, 2021, appearing as a substitute and scoring a brace in the 3-2 win over Uganda.

Makgopa participated in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, scoring one goal in three appearances for South Africa in the Summer Games.

He will forever be remembered, though, for his goal against Morocco in their Round of 16 clash at the 2023 AFCON.

Who is Teboho Mokoena?

Teboho Mokoena was born on January 24, 1997, in Bethlehem, South Africa.

He started his playing career with SuperSport United, rising from the youth ranks before joining the club's first team in 2016.

He made his professional debut the following year and remained with the club until 2022. He scored 15 goals in 127 league appearances for SuperSport before making the switch to Mamelodi Sundowns.

The midfielder has scored two goals in 42 league appearances for the Sundowns.

He's been part of South Africa's youth teams, joining the U17, U20 and U23 squads. He was a member of the U23 team that participated in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

South African fans will forever remember him for his sensational free kick against Morocco at the 2023 AFCON.
