According to Sky Sports, United forked out an eyewatering £70m to land the services of the Brazil international.

The versatile midfielder went on to pen a four-year contract at Old Trafford with the option of a further 12 months.

However, he is unlikely to see out the remainder of that contract, with reports linking him with a possible United exit after just one and a half years at the club.

It is understood that Saudi clubs are eyeing a move for Casemiro, with Al Nassr keen to reunite him with Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, the 31-year-old has poured cold water on the speculations, insisting that he is happy at the Theatre of Dreams.

Speaking to MBC via The Mirror, Casemiro described the atmosphere at United as 'amazing' and 'unique.'

"It's all amazing, since the first day, I was made to feel very welcome by the club, the players and the fans. I received so much love - on and off the pitch," he said.

"I am happy with that and with helping the club improve and get back to the path of achievements. So yeah, I'm happy to play for Manchester United," he added.
